reveal 01

Timber Options.

There are many reasons to choose a particular type of timber for a window reveal. It may be for strength, durability, texture or colour or it may be to match the flooring or other timber work in the home. Whatever timber is chosen it will add a special softness to the aluminium window that only natural wood can.

There are many naturally durable timbers available that will meet the standards required by the NZ building code. Some of the timbers listed below, although durable, may not be suitable because of grade, size or length of feed stock etc.

But if available and properly selected all the timbers below can be used as reveals.

We can source most species of timber and offer advice on suitability.

Colours of timber may vary to what is seen on your screen.

To read further on naturally durable timber, see the information given by the Window Association of New Zealand
